Finally got around to slapping this thing on. I swapped my old 4-1 DC ceramic to a guy who is all motor and I took his DC 4-2-1 Ceramic. All I have to say is holy crap eek Now this is just the butt dyno talking but I can definitely tell a difference down low, definitely. I am so glad I got it swapped out. I will be on the dyno in a couple of weeks to compare the numbers of 4-1 and 4-2-1.

I also swapped in some Del Sol seats and they are much better than the stock Civic seats. I sit proabably 2 inches lower, maybe more. The support is much, much better with these also.

Good job on those parts... the header is the best for the money and the seats are second to none for a factory seat.

    Congratulations.

    Cool Zach,

    Don't change anything else...
We'll do a baseline torque comparison, and I'm thinking we'll see your peak torque drop down in RPM as opposed to your 4-1 header...

Is that the general concensus here?... cool

Then upgrade your fuel system and swap pulleys to crank the boost to 10psi. You'll be amazed by the extra kick.

    Question

Ahhh, lead me not into temptation.....

I have the "hi-flo" Walbro (GS 342 ? as opposed to the GS 317) right now, plus a J&S. Timing is down to 8 degrees, and Im still getting detonation, mostly in 4th and 5th gear above 4K RPM. Was previously running super rich and getting CEL and 200 MPT (less than 20 MPG !) so the installer backed off some of the fuel pressure.

Im holding out for a boost-sensitive device, didnt want the MSD BTM, the JR piece was an almost-buy, then T.O.O made reference to something coming out soon better than both, so Im holding out for that.

[b] Unless the modification that Rafe suggested a few weeks ago would accomplish the same thing ? [\b]

I'd like to eliminate detonation before upping the boost, and then maybe an Endyn stepper pulley is in the works.

Plus some driving lessons and suspension upgrades. rolleyes
